After making wishes come true at yesterday’s Braves game, he hopped on another overnight bus & made his way to the Music City, Nashville TN.

Although the Predators were in town battling the Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, my dad wasn’t there to make wishes come true at a sporting event.  Instead he was there to laugh out loud & make wishes come true at Adam Sandler’s comedy show thanks to our friend Allen Covert, AKA “Grandma’s Boy”

Allen has been following our mission over the years and is a big supporter of the brave men and women who defend our country!  We cannot thank him enough for giving us the opportunity to make Wishes come true in Nashville at the “Here Comes The Funny Tour.”

Adam Sandler wasn’t the only big name on the tour.  The show Featured Performances By Sandler, David Spade, Nick Swardson & Rob Schneider!

My dad arrived in Nashville at the crack of dawn.  He spent all morning hanging out on the world famous Broadway street & got some work done before meeting up with the warriors in the afternoon.

Today we had the honor of hosting Army Warrior Lorenzo Amaro, Marine LCpl Ben Maenza, Marine LCpl John Curtin, Marine Cpl Joey Woodke & Marine Mark Toppel.

Mark & Lorenzo drove to Nashville from Chicago just to be a part of this experience.  Everyone was super excited to see Adam Sandler live!

They ran into a little traffic & made it into town just in time to check in to the hotel, meet up with my dad & the other warriors before walking down to the Hard Rock Cafe Nashville for dinner.

As the home of one of the best music scenes in the country, there was no better place to have a delicious meal than the Hard Rock Cafe. Hard Rock Cafe Nashville has been serving up good times in the Music City since 1994, they are proud to be one of the city’s premier dining and entertainment destinations.

The restaurant was filled with famous music memorabilia. From electric guitars to cowboy hats to platinum records.  Everyone enjoyed getting to know each other over a delicious meal surrounded by music history.  We can’t thank Hard Rock Nashville enough for their hospitality & generosity.

After dinner, It was pouring rain but they lucked out as it stopped just before their limo arrived.  Our friends at Signature Limo hooked up the warriors with stylish transportation to and from the show.

Signature Limos is one of the premiere transportation companies in Nashville and have been going above and beyond by providing limo service to support our mission since 2012!

My dad said “The limo ride was a blast!”  He said it was a great addition to the experience & gave everyone a little more time to get to know each other.

They arrived at the world famous Grand Ole Opry just in time, as Rob Schneider had just taken the stage to kick off the show.  As you might expect the show was very funny.   From Schneider to Swardson, from Spade to Sandler, it was hilarious!

As good as the show was, what was about to come was even better! The warriors knew we had a “Meet N Greet,” but they clearly did not expect an experience like this!

They were escorted backstage & spent the next hour making priceless unforgettable memories with Sandler & his friends!

They hung out sharing stories & joked about Adam turning 50! Sandler spent some quality time with the guys taking pictures and signing autographs.  He sincerely thanked the warriors for their service and sacrifices.

David spade & Rob Schneider also took the time to show their appreciation.

Schneider even let Lorenzo film him saying “You Can Do It!”

And as a little bonus, the “Property Brothers” happened to be there watching the show too!

My dad said the guys were the last ones to leave.  And instead of calling it a night and heading back to the hotel, they decided to have the limo drop them off downtown Nashville.

Operation Warrior Wishes would like to send a special thank you to Allen Covert & Adam Sandler for providing the tickets & a once in a lifetime experience at the Grand Ole Opry.  We also want to thank Matt & Mike at Signature Limousine for providing the stylish transportation. Last but not least, we want to thank Martin at the Hard Rock Cafe  for providing a delicious dinner before the show!
