Game 71 – Warrior Wishes Come True at the AFC Championship Game!

Operation Warrior Wishes was honored to host Marine Keith Bridges and Scott Schulte (served in both Army and Air Force) at the AFC Championship game in Kansas City!
Keith was nominated to us by Alanna Simms, her husband served with him. We had the honor of hosting Alanna’s husband in Pittsburgh a few years ago. She tells us that “Keith is the true definition of a Marine, Warrior, and Hero. He deserves a day where he knows how truly special he and his wife are, where they can be honored.”
Keith served on 3 tours to Iraq and continues to serve today. He started an organization called Rucking 2 Remember. They are on a mission to Honor Fallen and Remember the sacrifice made. They Honor their memory by Rucking with a 45lb Ruck in Ultra races. Typically these are trail races covering varying distances. Each race is dedicated to honoring the memory of one or more of our Nation’s service members.
They Remember their sacrifice with the families, by contacting and involving the family to offer scholarships, memorials and/or whatever the family needs to support the legacy of their service member. Simply put, the family knows what they need and how that looks for them; so we let the family make the decision on how R2R can best Remember the service member. Learn more about their mission here www.rucktoremember.org/
Scott proudly served our country in both the Army and Air Force. He was nominated to us by his wife. “While deployed, Scott hit an IED. He survived the blast and has been an inspiration to everyone ever since. He saved his buddy’s life after the explosion with his training without regard to his own injuries. Scott is now medically retired and involved with veterans organizations in our community and continues to give back.”
Scott’s wife’s wish was for Scott to be able to attend the Chiefs AFC Championship game with his daughter. “They have been super fans since I have met them. This will be a dream come true for all of us as he deserves to receive a gift as he is always giving to others.” It was an honor to make this “dream come true” for Scott and his daughter.
We would like to thank our friends at the Munce tailgate for their continued support all season long as they helped make wishes come true at almost every Chiefs home game this season by hosting the warriors at their tailgate before every game!
The Chiefs went on to beat the Titans to send them to their first Super Bowl in 50 years! They will face the San Francisco 49ers in Miami on February 2nd. We will be making wishes come true at the Big Game! Stay tuned…
