Game 65 – Warrior Wishes Come True at the Texans Playoff Game!

Operation Warrior Wishes was honored to host Army Military Police Officer Michelle Barnett at the Houston Texans playoff game.

S. Michelle Barnett is a disabled combat veteran and an experienced case manager with a passion for helping other veterans improve their lives. She served in the Army as a military police officer for 8 years from 1999 to 2007. During her active duty time, she completed two 6-month deployments to Kosovo in 2000 and 2002, and a year-long deployment to Iraq during the initial invasion from March 2003-March 2004.

Michelle is currently a student in the Masters of Science in Addiction Counseling Program at Texas Tech University, and her ultimate goal is to one day open a treatment facility for veterans in the private sector that can provide a multitude of services to veterans and their families seeking assistance. In her free time, Michelle enjoys motorcycle riding, going to the gun range, attending concerts, attending events to network with other veterans, and volunteering with the Travis Manion Foundation “Lady Spartans”, Impact A Hero, and The Mission Continues. She also served as the Senior Vice Commander for VFW Post 12075 located in the Humble/Kingwood/Atascocita area from 2017 to 2018.

We are thankful for Michelle’s service and sacrifices and appreciate all she does to continue to serve veterans back at home.  It was an honor to make her wish come true at the Texans game!
