Game 64 – Making Warrior Wishes Come True at Arrowhead!

Each NFL season there are a total of 256 games played. This year we were honored to make wishes come true at more than 60 NFL games! Nearly 25% of all NFL games!!!
After hosting warriors at both the Bears and Vikings games last week…
My dad made his way home to spend Christmas with the family.
Saturday night he made his way downtown to host warriors at the Bulls game before hopping on his overnight megabus to Kansas City for our final regular season game this season.
In case you didn’t know, we made wishes come true at every Chiefs home game this season! And we will continue to make wishes come true at Chiefs games throughout the post season and hopefully the super bowl!
On the way to KC my dad’s bus broke down along the highway. I got a text at about 4:45am letting me know of the situation.
My dad wasn’t sure he would make it in time for the game, but thankfully we have some amazing friends in Kansas City who always go above and beyond to help make wishes come true.
Today we had the honor of hosting Marine Sgt Larry Trimmer III, Army Sgt James Wilson, Army SSG Johnny Neal and Marine Cpl Dylan Cahill at the Chiefs game.
They all met up with our friend Marty at the “X-Factor’s” tailgate before my dad arrived. Typically we tailgate with Our friend Don Munce who has been making wishes come true all season long, but he was on vacation. So X-Factor and his group of friends stepped up to host the group.
My dad eventually arrived in Kansas City and immediately made his way to Arrowhead stadium to meet up with the group at the tailgate before they headed inside to watch the Chargers and Chiefs kick things off.
It was a huge game for the Chiefs. With a win and a Patriots loss, they would become the 2 seed and get a bye in the playoffs. TheChargers has no hope to make the post season, but Philip Rivers was probably playing his final game in a Chargers jersey.
Everyone eventually made their way into the stadium. Arrowhead stadium is one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL and one of my favorite stadiums too.
The Chargers and Chiefs kept things close throughout the first half. The Chiefs went into the break leading 10-7.
The Chargers were first to score in the 2nd half on a Melvin Gordon rushing TD that gave them the lead. However, their only lead of the game only lasted 16 seconds. Mecole Hardman returned the ensuing kickoff 104 yards and the Chiefs never looked back!
They were looking at the scoreboard watching the score of the Dolphins and Patriots. The Patriots has the lead with just under 4 minutes left in that game. Ryan Patrick and the dolphins engineered a 13 play 75 yard Touchdown drive to give the Dolphins the lead over the Patriots! Arrowhead stadium went crazy!!! With the patriots loss and the Chiefs 31-21 win over the Chargers, they secured a bye with the #2 seed in the AFC!
Needless to say, the warriors had a great time cheering the Chiefs and the Dolphins to Victory!
It was an honor to host Marine Sgt Larry Trimmer III, Army Sgt James Wilson, Army SSG Johnny Neal and Marine Cpl Dylan Cahill at the Chiefs game. We are thankful for their service and sacrifices!
After the game, my dad hopped on another overnight bus back to Chicago. He will be back in action at tomorrow nights Bulls game, as long as the bus doesn’t break down… stay tuned!
