Game 31 – Warrior Wishes Come True in Pittsburgh!

This week we made wishes come true in Minnesota Thursday night…
Houston, Chicago and Kansas City on Sunday…
And in Pittsburgh on Monday night for our 2nd Steelers game this season!
Immediately after the Chiefs game ended, my dad made his way to the Kansas City airport to catch his early morning flight to Charlotte. And connected in Charlotte to Pittsburgh.
Eventually he arrived in the “steel city” at around 1 pm. Upon arrival he made his way downtown to meet up with the warriors for dinner at the Steel Cactus.
The Steel Cactus is a modern twist on Mexican cuisine, featuring street-style tacos and monster- sized burritos
Our friends at the Steel Cactus always take great care of the warriors & have been helping us make wishes come true since they opened their doors for business in PNC Park! We appreciate their continued support and hope you stop by next time you’re in Pittsburgh!
Today we had the honor of hosting Marine Carl Riedmann, Army Sgt Joshua Furlong and Navy veterans Tim Sager and Derrick Clark. After they enjoyed the delicious pregame meal, they made their way over to Heinz field to watch the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers kick things off!
The winless Dolphins jumped out to an early 14-0 lead in the 1st quarter, but failed to score another point the rest of the game. The Steelers scored 24 unanswered points and went on to win the game 24-14!
Operation Warrior Wishes would like to thank Carl, Josh, Tim & Derrick for their service and sacrifices!
My dad will make his way back home for a couple of days before kicking off week 9 in Phoenix on Halloween! Stay tuned…
