Game 20 – Warrior Wishes Come True In Kansas City!

My dad kicked off week 6 of our mission at the Patriots game on Thursday night…
On Friday he made his way up to Maine to see our friend Army SSG Travis Mills at his retreat! Check out www.TravisMills.org to support his amazing mission!
Saturday morning he was on a flight from Boston to Newark to catch his connecting flight from Newark to Kansas City to make Warrior Wishes come true at the Chiefs game on Sunday.
This year we teamed up with the Chiefs and bought season tickets to make wishes come true at every Chiefs home game all season long! Technically this is our 5th Chiefs game this season (including preseason) at Arrowhead. But the first game my dad was there to host the warriors.
Throughout the years we have made some unforgettable memories in Kansas City. Here are some of my favorites…
My dad made his way to the stadium early in the morning to meet up with the warriors at the Munce Tailgate. Since my dad can’t be in multiple places at one time, although it sometime seems like it, our friends at the Munce tailgate have been going above and beyond all season long to host the warriors before every game. We cannot thank them enough for their continued support!
Today we had the honor of hosting Army Spc Jacob Rowe and Army Sgt Benjamin McCarty (attending his first game) at Arrowhead!
The group enjoyed getting to know each other at the tailgate before heading inside the stadium to watch the Texans and Chiefs kickoff.
Everyone expected a high scoring affair in a matchup between these two high powered offenses. And both teams lived up to the expectations. But unfortunately in the end, the Chiefs came up short and lost 31-24. Despite the loss, the guys enjoyed their experience.
Operation Warrior Wishes would like to thank Jacob and Benjamin for their service and sacrifices. You guys are appreciated and will never be forgotten!
My dad made his way to the greyhound station after the game to catch his overnight bus back to Chicago. He will be home for just a few short hours before heading north to wrap up week 6 by making Warrior wishes come true at the Monday Night Green Bay Packers game! Stay Tuned…
