Game 16 – The Chargers Make Warrior Wishes Come True!

For the first time all season my dad headed west and made Warrior Wishes come true in Seattle in Thursday night.
He had the opportunity to spend Friday and Saturday afternoon sightseeing around the “Emerald City.” And flew down to Los Angeles Saturday night.
Sunday morning he made his way over to the Dignity Health Sports Park to make Warrior Wishes come true at the Chargers game!
Throughout the years we have made some unforgettable memories making warrior wishes come true in both San Diego and in LA at Chargers games. Here are some of my favorites!
Today, the Los Angeles Chargers gave us the opportunity to host Marines Jake Ewan, Mark Murillo, Julio Torres, Rogelio Herrera Juarez and Army Sgt Donald Robinson & their guests at the game. Four of the Five warriors brought their sons to join them as their guests. Needless to say, my dad and I think that’s pretty cool!
For the 3rd straight year, ever since the Chargers moved to LA, Chili’s in Carson hosted our group for a delicious pregame meal. We cannot thank them enough for their generosity!
Before making their way inside the stadium the group made their way to “Thunder Alley” home of the Bolt Pride Tailgate! The “Bolt Pride” Tailgate is a group of some of the biggest Chargers super fans that you will ever meet! They have been welcoming us into their tailgate family since we made Warrior Wishes come true in San Diego!
As game time approached, the group made their way inside the stadium to watch the Broncos and Chargers kick things off. Unfortunately for the Chargers fans with us, they did not have much to cheer about in the first half as the Broncos jumped out to a 17-0 lead early on.
The Chargers did fight their way back in the second half, but ultimately fell short and lost to their rivals by the score of 20-13.
Despite the loss, everyone had a great time! Operation Warrior Wishes would like to thank the Los Angeles Chargers for their generosity as they donated 10 tickets to make this experience possible!
But most importantly, we would like to thank Jake Ewan, Mark Murillo, Julio Torres, Rogelio Herrera Juarez and Donald Robinson for their dedicated service and sacrifices! You are appreciated and will never be forgotten!
My dad will be hopping on an overnight but to San Francisco to make Warrior Wishes come true at the Monday night 49ers game! Stay tuned…
