Game 13 – Warrior Wishes Come True In Denver!

After making Warrior Wishes come true at the Rams game in LA on Thursday night, my dad spent a few days on the west coast & also made Warrior Wishes come true at the Chargers game before making his way to Denver on a red eye flight Monday morning.
My dad said he didn’t even remember the flight he was so exhausted, but he arrived in the “Mile High” city at 5am.
Upon arrival, my dad made his way downtown and got ready to host Marine KC Lee Hatfield at the Denver Broncos game.  He met up with KC Lee, his wife & service dog for dinner before the game at the Denver Chophouse.
Marcus, The chophouse manager was also a Marine & was happy to help make some wishes come true! He gave KC a warm welcome upon arrival and his team provided top notch service!
Every one enjoyed getting to know each item over some delicious steaks. My dad quickly learned that KC is a huge sports fan & was super excited to attend his first game ever! He also learned that he served with John Peck, our Super Bowl guest from a few year back.
Before heading over to the stadium, my dad presented KC with a new Broncos cap, Courtesy of New Era & they made their way outside to catch their ride.  The Denver fire department provided an escort from the restaurant to the stadium on a fire truck!!! It was an awesome way to arrive in style!
After snapping a few pictures in front of the stadium, everyone made their way inside to watch the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos!
For those of you who have never been to a game at “Mile High” stadium, it’s an amazing experience. When the Broncos make a big play or score a touchdown, the stadium literally shakes! It’s one of my favorite stadiums!
KC was treated to an exciting seesaw game between the division rivals. He helped the stadium rock as the Broncos went into the half winning 13-10.  The Broncos had a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter & their defense was doing a great job keeping the Chiefs high octane offense under control. However, Patrick Mahomes put the Chiefs on the comeback trail and set up a go ahead touchdown with less than 2 minutes left in the game.  Unfortunately, in the end the Chiefs went on to keep their undefeated season alive and beat the Broncos by the score of 23-20.
Despite the loss, KC & his wife enjoyed their experience! We want to thank the Denver Fire Department for the awesome ride, the Denver chophouse for providing the delicious pregame meal & New era cap for providing the Broncos caps!
TOGETHER WE MAKE WARRIOR WISHES COME TRUE!
Most importantly we want to thank KC for his service and sacrifices!
My dad will be spending the night at the airport and has an early morning flight back to Chicago to spend a few days back home before kicking off week 5 of our “All32in17” mission in Boston on Thursday! Stay tuned…
