Warrior Wishes Come True At PNC Park!

Over the last couple days my dad has been spoiled, with our friend Bill driving to Cincinnati and Detroit to make Warrior Wishes Come True at the Reds & Tigers games.
After the Tigers game, Bill dropped my dad off at the Detroit bus station for his first of 3 straight overnight bus rides. First stop Pittsburgh.
My dad arrived in Pittsburgh at around 5am. Today he is hosting Active Duty Navy MM2 Kelly Montague to make his warrior wish come true at his first ever Pirates Game! My dad Spent most of the morning setting up the rest of this 11 Day Battlefields to Ballfields Tour , but was able to get out and enjoy the 80 degree weather and the Pittsburgh scenery a little bit before meeting up with Kelly for dinner at Atrias before the game.
Atrias Restaurant is located at PNC Park & is truly the Pirates “pregame party headquarters.” They have been a great partner since we started our mission and today was no exception, as they provided our delicious PreGame meal again. Of course their specialty “Pot Roast Nachos ” we’re a big hit. Robin has been a consistent part of those visits and she joined us for photo op , but we want to thank previous managers Jack “Johnny Angel” and Rochelle too , as well as all the staff.
After dinner, my dad got a few photos in front of the stadium with our warrior & his wife and they headed in to watch the Pirates take on the Diamondbacks.
This was both Kelly and his wifes First Ever Pirate game, but they are both big baseball fans. They were treated to a dominant win by the Pirates, who controlled this game from start to finish , “destroying ” ( get it – Navy guy and “destroyer”) the DBacks 12 to 1 .
We would like to thank New Era Cap for providing new Pirates Caps to the warriors and Atrias Restaurant for providing the pregame meal!
TOGETHER WE MAKE WARRIOR WISHES COME TRUE!
Also THANKS Major Cornelius Batts for his service to our country and helping us get a nomination for tonight’s game , as he was not able to attend – it was great meeting you . And THANK YOU Navy Warrior Kelly Montague for your service to our country and good luck as you continue that service .
After the game, my dad took a scenic walkover a couple of those yellow bridges and headed to overnight bus 2 of 3 straight nights – this one to NYC

Navy MM2 Kelly Montague
I enlisted in the US Navy in 2009 at the age of 18 from San Antonio, TX as a Naval Nuclear Mechanic. I attended schools at both NNPTC Charleston, SC and NPTU Ballston Spa, NY before being assigned to the USS Ronald Reagan out of San Diego, CA. I was assigned to CVN 76 in February 2011 and spent four years and six months onboard. In November 2015, I was assigned to NRD Pittsburgh where I now serve as the Nuclear Field Coordinator. I hope to cross over to the Army and serve as a helicopter pilot before I retire via the Blue to Green program.
