After an unforgettable couple of days hosting a couple of truly inspiring warriors in LA at the ESPYS, it was time to head south to San Diego.

My dad took the overnight bus to get some sleep and spent most of the day working on tying up some loose ends and putting the final touches on our upcoming Golf Outing

At About 5pm, our guests for the evening arrived.  Today we were honored to be hosting the Gold star family of Army SPC Tony Phommasy. His widow Monique, 11 year old son Ethan and 22 year old nephew Jake. Jake just enlisted in the Marines and had just completed Boot Camp himself.

The Hard Rock Cafe provided the family with a delicious Pre Game Dinner.

While at dinner my dad gave everyone their Padres Cap from New Era, before heading over to stadium to get some great pics in front of Petco Park.

Tonight the Padres welcomed the Giants to town and were actually staying at the Omni Hotel where my dad hung out this afternoon while working on the Golf Outing.

The Giants jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 2nd,before the Padres tied it at 2-2 in the fourth. Buster Posey homered in the 7th to put the Giants up 5-3. The Padres made it very interesting in the bottom of the 9th loading the bases, but couldn’t quite pull out the walk off & fell short losing 5-4.

We would like to thank the Hard Rock Cafe San Diego for providing the Pre Game meal, New Era Caps for providing Padres caps to the family & Kim Zino from Survivor Outreach for nominating such a deserving and wonderful family!

Most importantly, Thank you to the Phommasy family for giving us the opportunity to share your loved one’s legacy.  It was an honor to host you in his honor.  We are forever grateful for his service and ultimate sacrifice.  Army SPC Tony Phommasy will never be forgotten!

My dad will get a couple of hours of sleep at the bus station before hopping on 5:00AM bus to Anaheim where he will be making warrior Wishes come true at tomorrow’s angels game.  Stay tuned for more details!
