Warrior Wishes Come True At The World Series!

So far this season we have made Warrior Wishes come true at 31 NFL games since kicking off our 2019 All32in17 mission!  Most recently my dad wrapped up week 8 hosting warriors in Minnesota, Kansas City & Pittsburgh.

Every year around this time we always hope the MLB World Series matches up or is close by to where my dad is so we could also make wishes come true there.

Unfortunately it has never lined up for us. However, we have made wishes come true at the 2016 World Series in Cleveland with a WWII veteran who grew up in Cleveland and loved his Cubbies. He couldn’t lose!

This year the Washington Nationals made an unbelievable run and we’re up against the Houston Astros for the championship.  Although things didn’t line up like we had hoped, we had an opportunity to make wishes come true at game 6 of the World Series and couldn’t pass it up.  Navy Veteran Hector Giron found tickets for an unbelievable price. A quarter of what tickets we’re going for online. He asked us if we would buy them so he could host and make some Warrior Wishes come true.  Needless to say we jumped at the opportunity and It was an honor to host Hector along with Army Sgt Josue Zamarron and Marine Sgt Holly Horan.

With the Astros up 3-2 in the series, we were rooting for them to win it all so the warriors could celebrate the championship!

Houston jumped out to a 2-1 lead in the first inning, but failed to score another run the rest of the game…  Despite the loss, Hector, Josue & Holly enjoyed the experience. Now let’s hope they can win game 7!!!

It was an honor to make this wish come true and Operation Warrior Wishes would like to thank Hector, Josue and Holly for their service and sacrifices!

My dad will get to spend the day with the grandkids tomorrow before he heads back out on the road Thursday to escape the October snow and make wishes come true in Arizona! Stay tuned…
