We kicked off this leg of our Battlefields to Ballfields mission last night in Pittsburgh & had a great time catching up with some old friends and enjoyed making new friends.

After the game, for the 3rd straight night in a row, my dad hopped on an over night bus & headed to the Big Apple!

He arrived early this morning and had plenty of time to get to the Bronx to host veterans from the Army, Air Force & Navy at today’s Yankees 1:05 Matinee.

Operation Warrior Wishes would like to send a special thank you to Cristina and the New York Yankees for helping us make wishes come true again with tickets right behind home plate for the 6th straight year!

Before the game, our friends at Hard Rock Cafe provided lunch for the group. Conveniently located inside yankee stadium, the Hard Rock Cafe is the perfect place for a meal before & after a Yankees game! We cannot thank Hard Rock Cafe enough for their support!

After everyone was done eating, the group took a pregame tour of the Yankees museum! As most of you know, the Yankees franchise has a ton of history & the memorabilia in the museum is amazing! From Babe Ruth’s bat to World Series rings and trophies, you can see it all in the museum.

For the first time since my dad left on this mission, the sun was actually out. It was a beautiful day for baseball!

Today we were honored to host Army Veterans Angel Bosques, Kevin Feliciano and Luis Zapatacorea, along with Air Force Security Kiara Terrero and Navy Vet Antoine Steward.

Unfortunately, the Yankees got off to a slow start & had only 1 hit through the first 7 innings. But they were just saving up for a dramatic finish.

Trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the 9th with 2 men on base, Gary Sanchez ripped a home run to left field for an incredible Walkoff 4-3 Win! Yankee stadium was in a frenzy! My dad says Angel said it Best “THAT WAS AMAZING!”

Amazing it was, but nothing is as amazing as the warriors we host. The ones who serve and sacrifice to give us our freedom. It was the perfect way to end a perfect day!

Operation Warrior Wishes would like to extend a big thank you to the New York Yankees helping us provide this unforgettable experience! We also want to thank New Era for providing the warriors with new Yankees caps, and thanks to Christos & Jesus from Hard Rock Cafe for their incredible hospitality & continued support!

Most importantly, thank you to Army Veterans Angel Bosques, Kevin Feliciano and Luis Zapata, Navy Veteran Antoine Steward and Air Force Veteran Kiara Terrero for their dedicated service to our country!

My dad gets back on the bus tonight & will be in Philadelphia tomorrow making Wishes come true at the Phillies game! Stay tuned for more details
