Making Warrior Wishes Come True for Army Warriors Cory Remsburg, Randy Myers, & honoring the legacy of Jose San Crisostomo KIA 8/8/2009.

Army Ranger, Cory Remsburg has taken 10 tours of Iraq and Afghanistan. He has a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star, and made an astounding comeback from an almost-fatal wounding in Afghanistan.

Phoenix got record rainfall the night before we arrived and the streets were flooded. Luckily the Phoenix fire department helped us give Cory an ultimate experience by picking him up at his house & escorted him & the other warriors to the game in a firetruck!

Army 1SG Jose “Joe” San Nicolas Crisostomo joined the Army in 1969! He served several tours between Vietnam & the first gulf war. In 1993 Jose retired after 24 years of active duty.

After the events that took place on September 11th, 2001 Crisostomo begged to get back into the Army. In the spring of 2008 the Army finally took Jose up on his offer and he was deployed to Afghanistan. On August 18th, 2009, just 11 days before Jose’s 60th birthday, the 1SG was killed in action by a roadside bomb.

Jose “Joe” San Nicolas Crisostomo will always be remembered as someone who always went above and beyond to help others. One of his favorite quotes was “Don’t be like me, be better than me.” And he encouraged everyone to be the best they could be!

We were honored to host this heroes daughter, Tricia & her husband, who followed in her dad’s footsteps and served in the army for 21 years in 1st SGT Crisostomo’s honor at the Cardinals game along with Cory.

We would like to give a special thank you to Joaqin & Juston (who also served our country) from the Phoenix Fire Department for helping us make these #WarriorWishes come true! You guys truly helped make the warrior’s day special! We would also like to thank Kabuki Restaurant Glendale for providing a delicious pregame meal, New Era Cap for providing Cardinals caps to the warriors & the Arizona Cardinals for giving Cory an autographed Michael Floydfootball!

Together we make #WarriorWishes come true!
