Immediately after making warrior wishes come true thanks to the New York Yankees, my dad made his way to a hotel.  That’s right, I said a hotel!  For the first night since leaving for Detroit last Tuesday, my dad actually slept in a bed and not a bus.

Despite being exhausted from the crazy “Battlefields to Ballfields” schedule over the past few weeks, that didn’t stop my dad from waking up before the crack of dawn. He woke up early to stand outside the Good Morning America studios and hoped to get his sign on TV and send a message to X-man.

Tonight we honored the legacy of Army SSG Simone Roderique at the Brooklyn Nets game & hosted SSG Roderique’s wife & 5 year old daughter in his honor.

This was our last game in NY and my dad will find himself sleeping on the bus again tonight as he “ships out to Boston” to make Warrior Wishes come true at the Red Sox & Celtics games tomorrow!
